Capital Bank, formerly known as Capital City State Bank, was established in June of 1956 by 5 local businessmen. At the end of Capital Bank's first year total assets were $2,700,000.00. Capital Bank is an independently owned bank, with affiliates in many community locations throughout Minnesota , North Dakota and Montana .

Capital Bank was formed as a community bank, with the goal of serving Saint Paul 's Rice Street Businesses and the North End Community. We are proud of our continued commitment to the Rice Street community, and have expanded our participation in various organizations to develop and improve the quality of life and business vitality of our city's North End.
